TASTING
Dark in colour with purple tints, the nose of this wine is complex, rich and punctuated by black cherries, black berries with hints of cocoa, cinnamon and gingerbread. On the palate, the tannins are powerful, integrated and well balanced. This wine offers a harmonious balance and good length. To drink with roasted beef served with “Sarladaises” potatoes.
2015, THE PERFECT YEAR
After a mild winter and spring, the months of June and July were dry and very hot. Despite not being at record levels, these conditions meant that the flowering and ripening happened perfectly and quickly. A fresh and wet August caused the growing season to recommence leading into an ideal September and October which were both mild and dry. This allowed the grapes to be harvested at their optimum maturity. These near-perfect weather conditions during the decisive periods of the growing cycle has meant that we can justifiably call 2015 a great vintage.
